Rangers want £5million Josh Tymon from Stoke but may have to qualify for Champions League to fund transfer
RANGERS are keen to sign Stoke City’s raiding left-back Josh Tymon – but may have to wait.
The Scottish giants are planning improvements to their side after reaching the Europa League final and Tymon, 23, is high on the list.
However, Rangers will have to either sell Borna Barisic or qualify for the Champions League group stages to fund the deal.
Stoke will want around £5million for Tymon, who has come good after signing as a teenager from Hull City.
Rangers are on alert for Crystal Palace’s England keeper Jack Butland as doubts form about his future.
Butland, 29, worked his way into Patrick Vieira’s side at the end of the season.

However, he has often been second choice since signing in 2020.
The Scottish giants Rangers and promoted Bournemouth have both shortlisted the shot stopper.
The Cherries may only be looking for cover, while the Gers interest revolves around their European ambitions.
They Europa League runners up have other options at No1.
