These tips from dating coach Josh Hudson – who posts online as Pinnacle of Man – will help those searching for love on apps like Bumble and Hinge.
Stick out from the rest by making your bio different and unique. Add a line to make sure people know you’re being selective and you’re not going to settle for the first person you match.
One example in the video is: “I’m super selective, so don’t feel bad if I don’t reply…I know you do the same thing all the time.”
Pair this with a “humble brag.” Something that shows you’re a real person and gives a glimpse into the flashier side of your life.

This could be something along the lines of; “I love my Tesla but I can’t clean the seats properly,” or “I haven’t hung up my master’s degree because I can’t find a nice frame.”
The first message is crucial, especially on apps where only women can start the conversation.
On average the first message is usually six words long. Doing a little bit more than that can better your chances of taking things off the app and into real life.
The video suggests going bold and saying something like, “So, are we dating now?” It’s confident and funny and sure to get a reply.

Another route you can take is replying directly to something on their profile. If they mention they love watching horror movies, you can say, “Let’s have a movie marathon. I can bring the popcorn and you can choose what we watch.”
Make sure you actually plan a date to meet up in person ASAP. Whenever they feel comfortable, meeting in person is the best way to keep up the connection.
Getting their number or Instagram can be a great way to keep talking off the app and move forward.
Even if you aren’t very active on social media, it can be another way for you two to connect and learn more about each other.
Something to avoid, however, would be letting your ex record the voice message on your profile, even if she’s telling everyone how great you are.
Courtney Taylor experienced this first hand when she was browsing potential beaus on Hinge.
She came across the profile of a man called Bennet that had an interesting message from his ex.
In the voice message, the woman – who introduced herself only as “Bennet’s ex-girlfriend” – could be heard saying: “I just really wanted to get on here and let you girls know that he is such a catch.
“We’re just friends now, there’s no feelings, so don’t worry about me!”
“But I just wanted to get on here and let you guys know that he really will treat you right and he’s just incredible.”

“So he can’t wait to speak to you guys, and maybe we’ll meet someday!”
However, the voice note did little to impress Courtney, who captioned the video on TikTok: “This was the hardest pass I’ve ever had on a dating app wtf.”
