A CAR has driven into a crowd in Berlin injuring at least 10 people, emergency services have confirmed.

At least 10 people are also said to have been injured following the incident which took place at around 10.30am local time (9.30am BST).
The incident is reported to have taken place outside the historic Kaiser-Wilhelm Church close to the city’s zoo.
Police and fire crews have been pictured at the scene, where a silver car can be seen sticking out of a department store building front.
Berlin’s fire department says 60 emergency responders are either on site or en route to what they described as a “mass casualty event”.

Morgen Post reporters said that a person was seen lying on the street covered in a blue sheet.
Heavily armed police are also in place at Breitscheidplatz and the area has been closed off by emergency services.
Reports say a man has been detained by police and it still isn’t known whether it was an intentional act or a traffic accident.
The group was standing on the pavement on Tauentzienstrasse close to Rankestrasse when the car ploughed into them.

Actor John Barrowman who happened to be at the scene at the time of the crash has shared a video from the crash site.
He tweeted: “We think we have witnessed a terrorist attack here in Berlin we’re not sure there’s a lot of people dead bodies all over the place we’ve seen a car that came down the road and ended up in a storefront covering three city blocks it’s pretty horrific.”
Police have not said it was a terrorist attack.
