The Gunners have acted swiftly to snap up the exciting youngster ahead of neighbours Tottenham, Manchester United and Liverpool.

But the Portuguese Champions have now accepted Arsenal’s offer of £30million plus the possibility of a further £4million in add-ons.
Now talks are underway over personal terms, with a five-year contract on the table and hopes of the deal being wrapped up by the weekend.

Vieira will become Arsenal’s second signing of the summer after 19-year-old winger Marquinhos joined from Sao Paulo in a £3million deal this week.
Now Arsenal must decide whether to continue their long-standing pursuit of Leicester’s Youri Tielemans, who plays in a much deeper position to Vieira.
They are also still in negotiations with Manchester City for Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus and remain confident of securing a deal for a fee in the region of £40million.
