Lampard signed a two-and-a-half-year deal to replace Rafael Benitez at Goodison Park in January.
The 43-year-old helped Everton to preserve their top-flight status but collected just eight wins from a possible 21.
The Toffees are also expected to lose Richarlison and perhaps Dominic Calvert-Lewin this summer.
And reinforcements could be in short supply with the club operating on a tight budget.
The Merseyside club do, however, have reasonable opening fixtures against Chelsea (H), Aston Villa (a), Nottingham Forest (H) and Brentford (a) in their opening four games.
