PETER Barlow and Dr Thorne are still at odds with one another next week following his surgery.
However, the evil surgeon has a life-changing offer for the Coronation Street cabbie – will he go for it?
Peter still has a bone to pick with Dr Thorne[/caption] Things could be escalating again next week[/caption] But the scheming surgeon first has an offer for the cabbie[/caption]After surviving a life-threatening addiction to alcohol, Peter Barlow (portrayed by Chris Gascoyne) has changed his life for the better.
But things took a turn when surgeon Dr Henry Thorne (Dominic Mafham) turned his liver transplant into a mockery, which led to devastating consequences for his career and Peter’s psychological well-being.
In scenes due to air next week, however, Dr Thorne is still trying to bribe Peter into going along with whatever he asks by offering one hundred grand.
While Peter’s wife Carla (Alison King) is understandably asking him to stay alert, as she’s very familiar with the surgeon’s scheming, his son Simon (Alex Bain) points out that the whopping sum of money could change their lives for good and solve their issues.

Peter weighs out the pros and cons and begins to waver – while Thorne to clock their exchange.
When meeting up with nurse Tricia, Peter is given a final push towards the option to give up the fight as she makes him realise she can no longer offer any new evidence.
Whether Peter decides to take Thorne’s money remains to be seen but what is certain is that both men are not done coming to blows.
In later scenes, both men bump into one another in the pub, with Thorne ordering Peter not to undo all of his skilled work.

The doctor gets into his car but Peter can no longer contain his rage and angrily confronts him.
Peter has already been on the wrong side of the law after punching Dr Thorne in a restaurant in earlier episodes of the Manchester-based program.

But when he was handcuffed and arrested, Carla took a stand to make sure he would be let off the hook… only to be asked out for dinner by Thorne in exchange.
