Terrifying moment camper wakes up to a giant ‘robber’ crab holding a STEAK KNIFE as he says he’s ‘lucky to be alive’
A CAMPER said he feels lucky to be alive after revealing the terrifying moment he woke up to a giant crab holding a steak knife.
The adventurous TikToker revealed the shock moment in a video that has nearly 2million views.
Kylesthenix filmed himself getting out of a tent at night and wrote, “I got woken up at 2am by a scratching sound outside my tent” over the viral video.
After walking a couple of steps outside the tent, the self-titled “fake lawyer, dad, and assassin,” captured a horrifying creature that brandished a dangerous weapon.
“Hey bro, hey bro, I need that knife,” kylesthenix humorously told the black creature.
He then bravely snapped the steak knife away and said “thank you.”

In the comments, the original poster said that he was on Okinawa Island in Japan where “they come out at night.”
Users immediately took to the comment section to say the crab looked like another terrifying creature.
“I can’t be the only one who thought it was a giant spider,” someone said.
The original poster responded, “bruh if that was a spider I would have gotten out of there.”

He posted a follow-up video showing a better look at the crab and said “I see it now,” with spider and crab emojis.
Other commenters wondered what attracted the menacing creature to nearly steal the man’s knife.
“Why do crabs like knives so much? This is like the 4th different video I’ve seen of a crab stealing a knife,” someone asked with laughing emojis.
The TikTok creator responded: “it also had ribeye residue on it.”
Kylesthenix said the creature was a coconut crab – a bird-eating predator that’s no joke.
Apparently, the “mega-crabs” can lift objects that are the weight of a 10-year-old child, the London Natural History Museum reported.
They also got their name from their strong claws that can be used to crack open food sources.
“People may be familiar with crab pincers if they try and pick the animals up from the front and not the back,” said curator Miranda Lowe.
“Coconut crabs’ pincers have a serrated edge, which are commonly known as teeth because they do act as teeth on the front claws.
