CHELSEA legend John Terry has revealed he turned down THREE managerial roles last year and was rejected for another two.
The former England captain, 41, retired four years ago and has since held an assistant manager post at Aston Villa up until his Summer 2021 exit.

Terry, who is now back at Chelsea helping develop the next generation of stars, has previously stated he would only take a role he felt was the right fit for him.
And in an Instagram Q&A, Terry has revealed he has turned down three manager jobs last year.
He was also rejected for a further two.
Terry said on an immediate future in management: “Unfortunately no.

“When I left Villa, that was the aim. I won’t be managing or coaching in the future.”
The Chelsea icon continued: “I turned down three jobs last year and interviewed for two more, which I didn’t get.
“It’s a personal decision that I have come to. I have my role at Chelsea that I love and my family time, which means everything to me.
“And I get time to enjoy myself.”

Terry’s comments suggest a major change of career plans.
He said after leaving Villa last year: “My immediate plan is to spend some quality time with my family and, thereafter, hopefully take up some invitations to visit clubs and managers around Europe to develop my aim and objective of becoming a manager.
“It has always been my ambition to move into football management and, providing the right opportunity presents itself, I feel ready to take up such a challenge.”
