Kodak Black ‘arrested after Oxycodone pills and nearly $75K cash found in car’ with rapper held at Broward County jail
RAPPER Kodak Black has been arrested after he was found with Oxycodone pills and nearly $75,000 cash in his car during a traffic stop.
Black, whose real name is Bill Kahan Kapri, was in possession of 31 Oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash, Florida Highway Patrol confirmed to The US Sun.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers conducted a traffic stop on Friday afternoon at around 4.30pm after Black’s vehicle appeared to have windows tinted darker than the legal limit.
Troopers saw that the vehicle’s registration had expired – and later discovered his license had, too.
After smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle, troopers conducted a search, Florida Highway Patrol told The US Sun.
They searched the vehicle and recovered the pills – later identified as Oxycodone – and cash.

The rapper was arrested and taken to the Broward County Jail.
Black is scheduled to play E11EVEN as part of Miami’s Rolling Loud Weekend on July 22.
He is a Florida native and began rapping in the state at a young age.
Black rose to fame in 2014 with the release of his single “No Flockin.”

PARDONED BY A PRESIDENT
On New Year’s Day, he was arrested for trespassing – less than one year after he was pardoned by Former President Donald Trump.
The rapper’s lawyer, Bradford Cohen, confirmed to TMZ that Black was arrested on a misdemeanor trespassing charge – but insisted it was based on a cease-or-desist letter from four months ago.
Cohen claims that Black went to his old neighborhood to see some friends and to pay off credit card debt for five families in the area.
The Sun has reached out to Cohen for comment regarding the rapper’s Florida arrest.
He has previously been arrested and sentenced to 48 months in prison in June 2020 stemming from federal weapons charges in 2019.
Black was due to serve a lengthy prison sentence that was expected to end in November 2022 before he was pardoned by Trump.
The official White House statement addressing Kodak Black’s pardon acknowledged the support he has received from fellow musicians including Gucci Mane, Lil Pump, and Lil Yachty.
“Before his conviction and after reaching success as a recording artist, Kodak Black became deeply involved in numerous philanthropic efforts,” the statement said.
“In fact, he has committed to supporting a variety of charitable efforts, such as providing educational resources to students and families of fallen law enforcement officers and the underprivileged.”
Black was in Illinois’ USP Thomson prison, where he served around half of his sentence.
At the time, the 23-year-old tweeted his thanks to Trump for commuting the sentence.
“I Want To Thank The President @RealDonaldTrump For His Commitment To Justice Reform And Shortening My Sentence,” he said.
