My nightmare flatmate gave strangers Brazilian waxes on our coffee table – I left her maggot-infested plates in her bed
HAVING a terrible flatmate can be an absolute nightmare, and is one you can’t even get away from at home.
One woman has shared her experience with a truly nightmarish flatmate, who never cleaned up AND gave randomers keys to the apartment.
Posting to TikTok, Maggie Golden has shared a couple of videos telling the story of the nightmare flatmate she had in the past.
The first video, which just shows some text, says: “I completely understand the nightmare roommate experience because I had Brittney.”
Maggie explains just some of the things Brittney did that made her truly intolerable to live with, writing: “Brittney didn’t have a litter box for her cat. She left maggots in the sink for three weeks.
“She gave someone a Brazilian on our coffee table. She gave neo-Nazis keys to our apartment and they would hide in there when we weren’t home.”

And she would leave paper cups filled with used condoms around the flat.
In a follow up video Maggie explains that all of these occurred around 2008/2009, and that Brittney had been assigned to live with and the two had not previously met.
Expanding on the dish situation Maggie says: “They were in the sink for one week. I left to go out of town. I got back and they were still there, covered in maggots.
“I dumped them on her bed. She moved out shortly after.”
As for the giving keys to neo-Nazis situation, she adds: “She was friends with them and they’d be in there drinking without her there while we weren’t in the apartment. Just shirtless, on our coach with swastikas tattooed on their chests.
“They stole the peephole to our front door so that they could watch us inside of our apartment.”

Other TikTok users expressed shock and sympathy over Maggie’s previous living situation.
“Ok, I’ll never complain about my roommates again. Sorry bestie. Wishing you healing,” wrote one commenter.
Another added: “I will never complain about my terrible roommates ever again. You win.
Some others shared their own nightmare flatmate situations, with one writing: “me ex roommate would leave her used tampons on the floor next to the trash can just in spite of me asking her to help clean the house.”
