The pair were discussing the stories in Saturday’s papers when it happened.

Naga, 47, asked: “What would you prefer to have… a danger story to crabs?”

A shocked Charlie, 60, looked straight at the camera as he realised what she had asked.

He replied: “A story about crabs I think is the answer to that.”

Naga couldn’t contain her laughter while sitting next to him and she pulled out a newspaper.

She then pointed at the story she made reference to.

“Okay, crabs, you asked for crabs… here are crabs,” Naga said.

Making sure that his co-star heard her, Charlie added: “I asked for a story about crabs…”

Naga then went on to explain what the story was about.

The picture in the paper was of crabs which have claws that measure up to eight inches at Porthwidden Beach in St Ives.

It came a day after Naga made a swipe at Charlie for an embarrassing sausage blunder.

She failed to keep her composure and erupted in laughter when the Spanish sausage became a topic of conversation as she was going through today’s newspaper headlines.

Charlie then announced he wanted to address “things that are just not true.”

The co-host held up a picture of the salami-like meat before attempting multiple variations of the word chorizo.

“Maybe people have seen this story before, I’ve actually seen it on the internet,” he first claimed.

“There was a picture which apparently was reported to be a picture in deep space and it ended up that in fact it was a slice of chorizo.”

Naga immediately chuckled and, poking fun at him, encouraged him to repeat the word.

“What was it a slice of Charlie?” she asked, to which he responded with what seemed like an Italian accent.

He proudly replied: “It was chorizo,” before switching to another European variation.

“Or chorizo,” he added as Naga was laughing away.

Charlie eventually gave up trying to pronounce the word: “You know what I’m saying, it was a piece of sausage basically.”
