Love Island bullying row as Luca and Jacques SLAM Paige on Instagram

LOVE Island fans were left fuming after Jacques O’Neill and Luca Bish made a sly remark about Paige Thorne and Adam Collard’s romance.

Jacques – who was struggling with his mental health and ADHD – decided to walk away from the ITV2 show last month.

The fishmonger, 23, and the rugby player, also 23, reunited for an Instagram Live on Sunday to discuss life after the villa.

But Jacques couldn’t help but take a sly dig at Paige and Adam as he broke his silence on their romance.

A fan asked Jacques what he thought of their romance.

Starting to laugh, Jacques replied: “They seem like they get on really really well, they seem happy together.”

 Luca nodded and said: “I’m glad the mum approves.”

Jacques cheekily responded: “Yeah well her mum seems really fond of Adam.

“So I’m sure the Sunday dinner will go really well.”

It comes after Paige’s mum Samantha made it clear that she wasn’t a fan of Adam.

However, fans slammed the lads for “showing their true colours” and were baffled how Jacques knew that Paige’s mum didn’t approve of Adam when he has previously claimed to not have watched the show after he left.

One wrote: “Jacques and Lucas never help themselves. True colours.”

Another posted: “The whole live he’s saying ‘I don’t know what’s happened I didn’t watch the show aha! Nah I didn’t watch it’ but he knows exactly what Paige’s mum said to her.”

A third said: “Even if Paige and Adam don’t work out, I hope Paige continues to pay Jacques dust. In the villa he talked as if he thought she was a doormat and would be easy to get back. Her moving on was the best choice she made. I hope she continues to keep it pushing 

“It’s just crazy that Jacques thinks he can speak about Paige’s relationship after everything he did,” another echoed.

During the Meet The Parents episode,  Paige gushed about their amazing time together, she asked her mum what she thought of the Geordie hunk.

After a long pause, Samantha explained that she wasn’t “buying it” and didn’t think Adam was genuine.

Paige later moaned in the Beach Hut: “My mum and her savage comments, I knew she would be… I was just like “Oh for God’s sake!”

Jacques decided to quit the villa the same week love rival Adam Collard entered – issuing a statement saying he regretted how he spoke to Paige Thorne, who he was coupled up with. 

“The first two weeks of my experience was probably the happiest I’ve been in a very long time,” he said. 

“On the other hand, the last two weeks was definitely the worst I’ve ever felt in my life. 

“I was finding myself feeling worse and worse every day and if I didn’t leave when I did I was scared I would never have got back to my normal self.”
