I showed my gran my Ladies Day outfit and her utterly savage reaction has gone viral
IT can be hard to settle on an outfit if you’re headed to the races.
And despite Emillie Grigg being pleased with the Oh Polly dress she chose for Ladies’ Day, her grandmother Violet didn’t hold back as she looked at pictures from the occasion.
Her fashion commentary kicked off the TikTok video with Violet weighing in on a snap of Emillie leaning forward in her dress, as she insisted: “Too much f***ing boobs.
“Look at the boobs hanging out. What would your mum say about that…your boobs hanging out?”
Struggling to contain her laughter, Emillie told her gran not to be “horrible”, before showing her a picture of herself and her friend Sophie.
“Oh lovely, I like Sophie’s hat and her bag”, Violet said, while making no mention of her granddaughter’s look.

Emillie then showed her elderly relative a snap of herself and two friends at the races, and asked her if she liked what they were all wearing.
“Mmm hmmm,” Violet said.
And when Emillie asked her if she had anything else to say, Violet replied: “You’re the only one showing your boobs.”
As the video continued, Emillie told her gran to stop looking at herself in the camera, to which Violet replied: “I’m not! I’m looking at your f**king boobs!”

Violet approved of a picture of Emillie with a boy, saying: “Is that you?” That’s a lovely one.”
But then she realised just how busty her granddaughter looked, exclaiming: “Oh look at them f***ing boobs, I was looking at your face. Not the boobs!”
When Emillie asked what was wrong with her boobs, Violet replied: “You’re showing far too much, it’s disgusting. Disgusting!
“Your face is lovely, pity about the boobs.”

She was more complimentary about a mirror selfie Emillie showed her, saying: “That’s lovely, you look nice! You look really nice.”
And when Emillie asked if she still thought she looked “disgusting”, going by her earlier comments, Violet said: “You look lovely.”
The video quickly went viral, with people loving Violet’s “ruthless” opinion about her granddaughter’s look.
Others wanted her to share her take on their outfits.
