My sister has been so low and anxious since she had Covid
DEAR DEIDRE: SINCE my sister had Covid, she’s been really sick and anxious, and I’m worried about her.
She’s lost a lot of weight, and her mood is really low.
She is often tearful and seems to have lost all her confidence.
She’s also paranoid about things that didn’t bother her before, like going on a train journey.
I’m her big sister, aged 35, and she’s 32.
Before, she was full of energy, very sociable and never got ill.
Covid hit her hard, but she seemed to recover – until she started going downhill again. Now she’s a shadow of herself.
It’s started to affect all her friendships and her work too.
If she messages a friend, and they don’t come back straight away, she thinks she’s done something wrong.
