Emmerdale spoilers: Dan Spencer makes shock move on neighbour

WHILE his daughter Amelia keeps her pregnancy a secret, Dan Spencer is getting closer to PC Harriet Finch.

The Emmerdale mechanic played by Liam Fox makes a move on the policewoman next week – how will she respond?

Years after his marriage and relationship with Kerry Wyatt and a brief fling with Faith Dingle, Dan is still a single man roaming around in the Dales.

However, in upcoming scenes of the Yorkshire-based soap, he decides it’s time to be on the lookout for new love and he’s apparently found the perfect woman for him.

Next week, Dan turns his sights on Harriet Finch, played by Katherine Dow Blyton.

The police constable allowed him and Amelia to move in with her when Gabby Thomas and Kim Tate kicked them out of their home as payback for baby Thomas’ recent hospital trip.

Dan asks Harriet out for drinks but he’s gutted to see that she seems oblivious to his true feelings.

Could he be mistaken?

Before he can hope for Harriet to realise he’s taken a liking to her, both Dan and her will have to face a shocking discovery.

In recent weeks, Amelia Spencer has been hiding a surprise pregnancy and only a handful of villagers know about her ordeal.

She’s even keeping the identity of her baby daddy a secret, despite dropping clues about him amid a conversation with Charity Dingle.

Next week, as Dan tries to get closer to Harriet, the teen played by Daisy Campbell sees her friendship with Noah Dingle evolve.

The former inmate accompanies her to her baby scan appointment and the pair even kiss.

Harriet catches them in the act and tells Dan everything.

Sadly, this leads to a tense and very public confrontation during which Dan has to be restrained by Bob Hope as he tries to physically attack Noah.

Villagers will find out all about Amelia’s pregnancy but could they also be told who the father of her baby is?

Several suspects can be considered to fit the bill as Noah Dingle’s name was recently cleared by Amelia herself.

Could Harriet help Dan cope with the emotional weight of Amelia’s pregnancy?

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV from 7.30pm.
