“I nearly paid £70 for one online.
“So the first step is, take off the handles, these are quite easy to unpick. I did actually cut with a pair of scissors on the top.
“Make sure you only do a small cut because you do need to use that strip for later.
“Once your handles are off just pop them to the side, and then count up five (strips) . I ended up going up one more (time) because I wanted it to be nice and deep.”
She then got a pair of scissors and cut around the top to shorten the height, before picking all the loose bits off on the top.
She continues: “It is quite a messy one, so just make sure you have a little bin pile ready.”
She filmed herself taking the Moses basket apart while offering up her tips[/caption]The mum then re-added the handles.
She says: “This step was probably the longest step, I think it took me about an hour. Just make sure you line them up properly before you commit.
“If you do it properly the first time, it probably won’t take you an hour but it is so worth it because look at it.”
The Moses basket was completely free off Facebook marketplace.
She adds: “So I didn’t even spend a penny.”
Many other people rushed to the comments section to share their thoughts.
One wrote: “I’ve bought a Moses basket for £10 off marketplace as have seen this done & can’t wait! Looks lovely, well done!”
