Four others, including his parents Vicky Studholme and Stephen Hinds, were rushed to hospital after the horror.

Darren Greenham, 44, has been remanded in custody after he pleaded guilty to manslaughter and theft offences.

His wife Sharon Greenham, 51, is due to stand trial on October 4 charged with the same counts.

Police confirmed in December the explosion was caused by a gas pipe that was cut at one of the homes.

They said: “We are devastated at the loss of our beautiful George.

“He was so precious to us.

“We have no words to describe how we feel and just want time to ourselves to come to terms with what has happened.
