Edwards’ Hail Mary strike sparked wild celebrations amongst his team and loved ones back home.

And the Brit decided to celebrate his title win the following night with a quick dash to Sin City – where he partied at the luxurious Wynn hotel.

On Sunday night, Edwards and his team enjoyed a night out at the XS Nightclub – which was hosting its famed NightSwim party.

Rocky, 31, was greeted by placards which spelt out: “And New.”

The Notorious BIG’s ‘Juicy’ played in the background and confetti filled the air as the new king of the welterweight division made his arrival at the plush nightspot.

Edwards and his team danced the night away at their VIP table, where they drank Jack Daniels and listened to DJ Zack Bia.

But they didn’t stay out for too long, leaving the club at around 2:30am.

Edwards was given a hero’s welcome when he arrived back at Birmingham airport on Wednesday.

The Jamaican-born Brit was greeted by scores of his loved ones at the arrivals gate, many of whom chanted: “Rocky, Rocky!”

Edwards didn’t waste any time in heading home to see his mum, who threw him into MMA at the age of 17 to keep him off the streets.

And they posed for a photo by a recently-painted mural commemorating his spectacular victory.

His accompanying Instagram caption read: ” Mama we did it.”

Victory over Usman saw Edwards end Britain’s six-year-long wait for a second UFC champion.

An emotional Edwards told UFC commentator Joe Rogan in his post-fight interview, “I can’t put it into words, Joe.

“It’s been a long four years. You all doubted me and said I couldn’t do it.
