Conor McGregor branded ‘pathetic’ for brutal taunts of Kamaru Usman after vicious UFC 278 loss to Leon Edwards
CONOR MCGREGOR has been branded “pathetic” following his post-fight mocking of Kamaru Usman.
The Notorious brutally trolled the former pound-for-pound king after seeing him get knocked out by stablemate Leon Edwards at UFC 278 last weekend.
McGregor’s post-fight annihilation of The Nigerian Nightmare didn’t sit well with many, including welterweight title contender Belal Muhammad.
He told MMA Fighting: “You can have all the money in the world, but you don’t have any attention anymore and that’s what you crave the most.
“You don’t have anybody screaming your name anymore and that’s what you want the most. It just shows, it’s kind of pathetic where guys are now.”
Muhammad’s gripe with McGregor stems from the Irishman knowing the feeling of suffering defeat in front of his loved ones.

He said: “Even Conor McGregor, who knows how it feels to lose in a championship fight, he knows what it feels to lose in front of family.
“These guys that kick a guy when he’s down, it just shows what kind of person they are.
“They’re just looking for that attention. Conor McGregor is looking for that attention, Jake Paul is looking for that attention.
“Karma’s going to come back to you, especially a guy like Conor who hasn’t won a fight in five years, all you do is tweet when a big fight is coming on.”

“It fits in perfectly. He’s still on track for a big return next year.”
He added: “Acting wasn’t something I think Conor had at the very front of his mind, right now he’s still a world-class athlete and his focus is being the best fighter in the world.
