OVER the years Sian Williams has become a familiar face on TV, thanks to her long career in news broadcasting.
The telly star shot to fame hosting BBC Breakfast alongside the late Bill Turnbull.
Who is Sian Williams?
Sian Mary Williams was born on November 28, 1964 and is a Welsh journalist and current affairs presenter.
The broadcaster is best known for her work with the BBC, and Channel 5 News.
In 2016, Sian wrote a critically acclaimed book on dealing with adversity; Rise: Surviving and Thriving after Trauma.
In 2021 she became a registered counselling psychologist with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
What TV shows has she been in?
After joining the BBC in 1985, Sian climbed the ladder, and from 2001 until 2012 hosted BBC Breakfast.
She also presented two series of BBC One’s discussion programme Sunday Morning Live from 2014 until 2015.

Sian has also been a guest presenter on The One Show.
In 2016 Sian swapped broadcasters and went to Channel 5 News.
However in March 2022 she revealed had quit the show, and live news anchoring altogether, to pursue other projects.
But Sian did add that she will continue to present her weekly mental health segment for Channel 5 News.

Is Sian married and does she have children?
Sian has been married twice during her life, and has four kids.

In 1991, she married Neale Hunt, a former director of advertising firm McCann Erickson, and had two sons with him.
Following the couple’s divorce, Sian married her second husband Paul Woolwich in 2006, and they welcomed two children together.
