With the holiday season just around the corner, one decor expert has shared her latest DIY Christmas decoration that she made using materials from the local Dollar Tree.
DIY queen MJ Thomas, known on TikTok as jinkybinky, shares with the public her cute DIY Christmas tree project that is comprised of tiny products from Dollar Tree.
Thomas’ social content is filled with DIY trends and creative activities, using cheap materials from Dollar Tree and other superstore brands.
In one 50-second video, the DIY budget guru shows viewers how to create a sparkling, golden Christmas Tree that is perfect for any winter-themed event, using only five products worth $1.25 each.

The video begins with Thomas laying out all of the Dollar Tree products used to complete the project.
She uses a Santa Clause-themed Christmas ceramic coffee mug, two packs of gold and silver vase fillers, a gold posterboard, a hot glue gun, scissors, and lastly gold leaf foil to complete the task.
Though the DIY hack may seem daunting, Thomas quickly moves into a visual step-by-step layout of how all of the $1.25 materials come together.
The first step is to take the gold posterboard, roll it into a trumpet-style cone shape halfway into the sheet, and then cut the other half of the sheet off with a pair of scissors.

Thomas then hot glues the ends of the poster board into a cone shape and cuts off the end, so it is a symmetrical circle.
In the third step, She takes the Santa Clause coffee mug and wraps the top of it and the handle in gold foil to hide any red accents.
She follows that up by super gluing the gold cone on top of the mug.
The fifth step is very meticulous because there is great attention to detail.
Thomas applies a string of gold and silver vase fillers row-by-row with hot glue to the very top of the cone, until there is no gold poster board in sight.
She makes a point to add a tiny clear star at the top of the DIY gold tree for an added effect, but that is optional.
Thomas was praised in the comments for her DIY creativity and attention to detail.
The Dollar Tree Christmas tree could be used as an outdoor or indoor decoration, as well as a table centerpiece for holiday events.
