ANTI-AGING experts recommend starting the skincare process at a young age.
A TikToker has revealed the skincare mistakes she made in her 20s and how she would do it differently now.
TikTok user Nikki Chan, who runs the account Ugly Duckling Skincare, shared the five changes she’d make to her skincare routine, if she could go back in time.
For her first tip, Nikki emphasized the importance of not overdoing it with skincare products.
“I went overboard, I bought them all, I tried them all, and I damaged my skin barrier in the process do,” she said.
The TikToker added: “Instead, I would’ve looked for more targeted serums and products based on what my skin concerns were.”

The skincare expert also told her followers that she would’ve sought treatment for her acne sooner.
Another change Nikki said she would make involved paying more attention to her skin barrier.
She explained: “The second I started to focus on my skin barrier and health, I noticed immediate changes in my skin. It was more hydrated, more plump, more bouncy, and just felt and looked healthier overall.”
The influencer also said: “, I would take my mom’s advice and stop obsessing about aging. Aging is beautiful, and it’s normal, and it happens to all of us.”

And finally, Nikki said the most important step to good skincare from an early age is using sunscreen.
