ADAM Woodyatt’s divorce from his wife of 22 years has been finalised.
The EastEnders actor, 54, who announced his split from Beverley Sharp, 57, in 2020 has been locked in negotiations over their settlement ever since.
But sources close to the former couple confirmed they had come to an agreement and been served with a decree absolute.
And Bev is said to be delighted with the settlement after standing her ground in negotiations.
Adam, who is one of soap’s most recognisable faces, has played Albert Square’s Ian Beale since 1985 but is now on an extended break from the BBC soap.
A friend of Bev said last night: “Bev and Adam are now officially divorced.

“As well as being his wife, Bev was also his manager for about a dozen years and she did so much for his career.
“She rejected some of the settlement offers she was sent during the process and now she’s glad she held her ground — she is delighted with the settlement.
“She still has no idea why he left her but that’s all in the past. She’s very upbeat and sees it as a new chapter. I’ve no doubt Bev will find someone new soon. She’s in a good place.”
Adam, who left Walford in 2021 and has refused to confirm or deny a return, went on to appear on stage in Looking Good Dead and on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!

Leaving the castle in December, he fought back tears as he told hosts Ant and Dec he had approached the show as “a new start”.

In March, the Sun on Sunday revealed he had grown close to BBC beautician Clare Martignetti after the pair had spent time together at his mobile home in Dartford, Kent.

The make-up artist was also spotted ferrying Adam to the Orchard Theatre, where he was appearing in thriller Looking Good Dead.
Last month it was announced that Adam had landed a job in a new production of My Fair Lady, playing Eliza’s dad Alfred.
