Fears for Strictly’s Hamza as he gets his knees taped up after battling pain in rehearsals
STRICTLY Come Dancing’s Hamza Yassin has worried fans after revealing that this week’s rehearsals are leaving his knees in agony.
The CBeebies star and wildlife photographer has been practicing the Quickstep with pro partner Jowita Przystal, but it is putting huge strain on his joints.
In a new video, Hamza – who has been tipped to win this year’s series of Strictly – can be seen having his knees taped up by Jowita.
He says: “Here we are again, physio Jowita taping up my knees ‘cos I’m in pain. The Quickstep’s quick.”
Hamza then asks Jowita how she is finding their latest dance routine: “Lovely,” she smiles.
He then asks her how she thinks HE is finding it.

She replies: “Good. You’re getting there. We need some prevention.”
Agreeing, Hamza says: “We do. We need some pain prevention. But…it’s coming along okay, I would say.”
News of Hamza’s knee injuries will worry his fans.
The telly star and Jowita topped the leaderboard on Saturday night after they performed an impressive Salsa.

Betting site spokesperson Sam Boswell explained: “Will Mellor (10/3) has dominated the odds as favourite but now Hamza Yassin overtakes him as the new favourite to win Strictly.
“At one point on Saturday, Hamza drifted as high as 12/1, and now his odds have been slashed to 9/4 to take home the glitterball trophy.
“Hamza’s Samba performance saw him sitting pretty at the top of the leaderboard, scoring a total of 39 – just one point off a perfect score and the highest score of the competition so far.
“It’s a marked improvement on his week three dance, which saw him in 10th place with 25 points.”
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Hamza and Jowita appeared on Good Morning Britain to chat about Strictly Come Dancing.
Hamza was left blushing after host Richard Madeley revealed his wife, Judy Finnigan, has a crush on him.

Richard said: “I have to tell you something. My wife has a crush on you, and my daughter has a girl crush on you [pointing to Jowita]. She thinks you’re absolutely beautiful. So you are our favourites.”
Richard’s confession about Judy comes after Hamza revealed he’s already lost a STONE after brutal nine hours a day training sessions.
