Urgent hunt for man after two women sexually assaulted within half an hour as cops release CCTV

COPS have launched an urgent hunt for a man after two women were assaulted within half an hour of each other.

A 43-year-old woman was approached by an unknown man who “tried to touch her below the waist and grabbed her leg” in the broad-daylight attack.

Just half an hour later, around 1.30pm, a 22-year-old woman was also approached by a man who touched her bottom in Whitley Bay, Tyne and Wear in July.

Cops have now released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: “An investigation into the incidents has so far heard from witnesses and included a review of CCTV, but police are now looking to speak with a man who was in the area at the time and could have information.”
