Then, rather than stopping while surrounded by police, the driver reverses into one of the police cars, before slamming his vehicle into drive and trying to take off.
But instead of fleeing the police, Nicholas Overton, 36, smashes into the two cop cars in front of him.
A police officer was injured in the chaos.
The moment, which unfolded after Overton failed to stop, was captured on a police dashcam.

It happened in Surbiton, South West London, in May 2021, but Overton has only recently appeared in court.
The 36-year-old had tried to ram his way out and avoid being arrested, after officers waved him down to stop.
Overton appeared before Guildford Crown Court on last Tuesday.
The Oxfordshire man faced charges of dangerous driving, assaulting an emergency worker, failing to stop and driving over the specified drug limit.

He pleaded not guilty to the first two charges, but guilty to the latter two.
Overton was sentenced to 18 months in jail suspended for 24 months.
He was ordered to complete 150 hours of unpaid work and disqualified from driving for 24 months.
Investigating officer Sergeant Ben Grilli said: “What should have been a routine traffic stop quickly escalated.
“Overton showed complete disregard for the safety of the public and ended up seriously injuring an officer from our team.
“Speeding and driving dangerously are two of the fatal five offences – those that cause the majority of deaths on UK roads.
“As a force, we are committed to robustly tackling these offences and holding perpetrators accountable for their actions.”
It’s not uncommon for dashcams to capture shocking moments on the roads.
One video recently appeared online of a van narrowly avoiding a high-speed, head-on crash.
It was uploaded to TikTok and shows the van driver making a badly timed overtake.
Another clip also recently surfaced online of the moment a driver cheated death on a motorway.

In a separate clip, the moment a driver lost control on a wet roundabout was caught on camera.
