She and her partner Graziano Di Prima performed the Quickstep to Ballroom Blitz by The Sweet on this weekend’s instalment of the dancing contest.
The former Coronation Street star failed to impress the judges with their nod to the iconic TV show ‘Come Dancing’.
The expert revealed that being in the dance off recently was a “wake up call” for the 46-year-old star.
In an exclusive chat with The Sun on behalf of Betfair Casino, Darren Stanton revealed: “Faced with some relatively hard feedback this week, Kym’s confidence was knocked a little.
“We also saw her flash an expression of confusion, as she clearly felt in her heart she had given her performance 110 percent.

“Being in the dance off recently was a wake up call for Kym and prompted her to really up her game. Her expressions this week were of strict focus and sheer determination.
“Kym is an incredibly competitive person. She is very focused and prepared to work incredibly hard to reach her goals.
“She has her sights well and truly set on the glitter ball trophy and despite Kym and Graziano suffering from a few knockbacks in the last few weeks, they’ve taken the negative feedback in their stride.”
Darren continued to say that Graziano appears to be “supportive” towards Kym when they receive negative feedback.
He continued: “She and Graziano have a fantastic relationship and enjoy a great rapport, with Graziano playing a supportive role to reassure Kym when the judges’ comments don’t go their way.”

She landed a score of only 27 out of a possible 40 points as Strictly Celebrated 100 years of the broadcasting corporation at the weekend.
Only EastEnders actor James Bye and Football legend Tony Adams scored lower on the leaderboard.
While Craig Revel Horwood lavished some praise for the former soap star, Anton Du Beke noted that Kym’s performance lacked some of her usual confidence.
Meanwhile Head Judge Shirley Ballas did not hold back on her critique.
The adjudicator noted: “The core today lacked a little bit, it was loosey goosey, it was moving a bit all over the place.”
She added: “Somehow for me it wasn’t your best dance today.”
