Antiques Roadshow viewers in shock as expert reveals life-changing value of Jack Nicholson’s Joker suit
VIEWERS were left in complete and utter shock at an iconic film piece on Antiques Roadshow which was worth £150,000.
Fiona Bruce was presenting the latest edition of the BBC One show at Wollaton Hall in Nottingham, famously the setting of a Batman movie and fittingly there was some film memorabilia during the programme.
Fiona was on hand to inspect the items[/caption] The Joker suit was worth an incredible amount[/caption]In the segment known as Basic, Better, Best, Fiona tries to work out which of three items is worth the most and which is worth the least.
The 1989 Tim Burton film was the focus of today’s segment as the expert put on display three individual items that were connected or used in the movies.
Worth the least of the three, coming in at £4-£6k and ranking as Basic, was a production Batman mask.
Collector Steve offered more information on the mask insisting it was very rare due to many of the others being destroyed after filming but admitted that this specific mask, made to be worn by Michael Keaton, was not seen on-screen very much hence its lower value.

Steve explained: “What’s really important about this is that everybody knows and recognises the Bat cowl, it’s so distinctive, it has really an iconic shape and finish to it. It was designed by Academy award nominated costume designer Rob Ringwood.”
Micheal’s belt ranked next as Better during the segment.
The belt worn around Micheal’s suit and featured heavily on-screen and as such saw a vastly increased worth.
Upon revealing the estimated value of between £40,000 to £60,000, the roadshow onlookers let out an audible gasp.

But the BBC show really did keep the ‘Best’ until last when they showed off the Joker suit worn by the iconic Jack Nicholson.
The famous costume was worth up to an eye-watering £150,000.
An extremely shocked Fiona remarked: “We get things like Roman rings on this programme that aren’t worth anything like that!”
Viewers at home were left overwhelmed by the staggering amount that the suit commanded, one of the higher figures seen on the show in recent times.
One fan tweeted: “Off to see if there’s anything lying around my house in a box perhaps randomly worth £100,000.”
A second flabbergasted fan wrote: “How much???!! I need some Batman memorabilia!!”
Whilst a third exclaimed: “I love that Joker outfit.”
