One woman has shared a video online of the toilet unblocking hack which she learnt from a family member.
Capricesmum has a TikTok account with over 142,000 followers.
The account user regularly shares cleaning, tips, hacks and product reviews.
She said: “My brother taught me this and it works EVERYTIME”.
Capricesmum explained to her viewers how the hack works.
She said: “Every house needs to know this hack for when you get a blocked toilet”.
“So you get some washing up liquid and squirt at the pack of the pan like this, leave for 30 seconds to a minute.
She concluded: “Then simply flush and the blockage is gone”.
Capricesmum showed the hack in her video as unblocks her square shaped toilet with some fairy liquid.
Viewers were very impressed with the video which now has over 2.5 million views and 94,000 likes.
One commenter joked: “ Am I the only one who puts the lid down and leaves it for the next person to sort”.
