Furious The Chase fans turn on police officer after controversial cash-builder
THE Chase viewers were furious tonight after a police officer contestant took the low offer in her cash-builder round.
The conservative approach is often derided by the viewership, with many seeing it as a betrayal of he rest of the team, and tonight was no exception.

After Danny and Karen earned £10,000 for the pot, cop Carly opted to play against chaser Darragh Ennis for £1,000 as opposed to the £3,000 middle offer.
Justifying her decision, Carly admitted she “wasn’t the brightest button”.
She got her comeuppance as The Menace caught her with questions to spare, robbing Carly of her place in the final.
Viewers had little sympathy though.

One wrote on Twitter: “Low offer. Bad police lady!”
Another posted: “Your performance is criminal, Carly! Criminal! And you’re a police officer!”
A third said: “Not a great advert for the police!”
However, watching at home, Darragh backed her, writing: “The low offer is sometimes the only sensible option folks. Trust, me I know.”
The team built a prize pot of £15,000 for the final chase and racked up a point tally of just 14.
But it wasn’t enough to take home the money, and they were caught with 21 seconds on the clock.
