Our flats are infested with rats and cockroaches after people POOED in our bins
FUMING families claim their tower block is infested with rats and cockroaches — after tenants pooed in the bins and lobbed garbage out the windows.
The residents accused some newcomers of being too lazy to walk up and down stairs to use their own toilet or take out the trash.
And they blamed the mess on the council’s decision to offer homeless accommodation in the building.
The mess also includes discarded mattresses and furniture.
Now residents Sheila Gray, 73, Andrina Sweeney, 58, and Lori O’Brien, 52, have demanded action to clean up Moss Heights in Cardonald, Glasgow.
Retired Sheila, who’s been there since 1993, said: “We’ve had to move the salt bins as people keep pooing in them.
“They can’t be bothered climbing the stairs to their flat.”
Andrina added: “People open their windows and throw bags out.
“It’s not just food waste but sanitary towels and nappies.”
Lori said of the vermin problem: “The rats are chewing through the insulation.

“We hear them in the walls at night.”
The city council said its homelessness team had received no anti-social behaviour reports.
But they added that any complaints would be “fully investigated”.
