Watch as elderly woman is caught riding her mobility scooter on 70mph dual carriageway during rush hour
AN ELDERLY WOMAN has been caught driving a mobility scooter along a dual carriageway during rush hour.
Footage of the woman has gone viral on Facebook after user Tony Hills filmed her and uploaded the footage.
The maximum speed limit for mobility scooters is 8mph on the road, but 4mph on the pavement.
Tony Hills claims he saw the woman heading down the V7 Saxon Street between Oldbrook and Fishermead in Milton Keynes.
She then turned left to Eaglestone Roundabout onto the H7 Chaffron Way.
In the video, the woman is passed by cars at high speed during the busy morning period.

Tony told Buckinghamshire Live: “I was walking from the Four Bridges back to mine. It’s been shared loads and played loads.
“This world never stops amazing me.”
“Clearly, for whatever reason, the Redway system in Milton Keynes for pedestrians, cyclists and more just isn’t quite good enough for this lady,” he added.
According to the Highway Code, when riding a mobility scooter you shouldn’t ride in bus lanes, cycle-only lanes, on motorways or dual carriageways where the speed limit is higher than 50mph.

However, if there’s no way of avoiding a dual carriageway, it is compulsory to use an amber flashing light for visibility.
Several Facebook users commented on the video and couldn’t believe what they were seeing.
One woman said: “I want to be her.”
Another user wrote: “She is a legend.”
One person claimed that the woman was regularly seen driving on the dual carriageway and she urged the family to remind her she is putting her life at risk.
