I’m A Celebrity fans in hysterics at awkward moment Matt Hancock slips on bridge as he enters jungle
I’M A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! fans were left in hysterics after Matt Hancock made his long-awaited show debut – and slipped on a bridge.
Matt, 44, stumbled as he strode into the jungle across a high wooden walkway during Wednesday night’s instalment of the ITV1 series.
He slipped on the bridge as he arrived in the jungle[/caption]The MP for West Suffolk managed to recover and tried to steady himself before crossing to the other side and entering the deserted Snake Rock camp – renamed Mole Headquarters.
There he met fellow newbie, comedian Seann Walsh.
Viewers were left in fits of giggles after watching Matt take a tumble on his way in to the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
One fan said: “Matt slipped on the bridge, I’m laughing so much!”
A second chimed in: “No way Matt Hancock fell walking over the bridge!”

Another added: “Matt Hancock wasn’t even properly in the jungle and he stacked it walking over the bridge!”
And a fourth wrote: “@MattHancock near enough fell to his death entering the jungle and @seannwalsh cannot keep a straight face now knowing he’s stuck with Matt for the foreseeable!”
When news broke that Matt had signed up for this year’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here, angry fans swung into action and launched a petition.
The petition was named “He’s no celebrity – stop Matt Hancock appearing on I’m a Celebrity”, and it was created by the “Covid-19 Bereaved Families For Justice”.

They stated his appearance on the show would cause “pain” and “anguish” for those who lost loved ones during the Covid-19 pandemic.
It has had more than 43,800 signatures to date.
Matt was isolating at a plush £2million luxury beach house before heading into camp as part of strict ITV rules.
He is expected to be voted by the public to do a record number of Bushtucker Trials.

It comes after Matt spoke of his fear of snakes — while denying that angry viewers will vote for him to do one critter-infested Bushtucker Trial after another.
The Tory MP was last year exposed by The Sun when he broke Covid rules after being caught with his closest aide Gina Coladangelo, 43, behind wife Martha Hoyer Millar’s back.

He hopes his appearance on the hit show will win over the public.
In his interview before entering, he admitted: “I have never come across a snake at close quarters and so I am pretty worried about anything to do with snakes.”
