Anthea Turner recreates Buckingham Palace in tribute to The Crown series 5 on Netflix

ANTHEA Turner has picked up her crafting scissors again – 30 years on from her famous Thunderbirds Tracy Island build on Blue Peter – but this time there’s a Royal Twist.

To mark the release of the season 5 of The Crown, the ex-Blue Peter presenter has recreated a model of Buckingham Palace, but this build is for the grown ups.

In a step-by-step video, Anthea seamlessly transforms household junk into a beautiful model of the monarch’s residence.

Kids of the 1990s will be thrilled to graduate up to this construction, which incorporates boxed wine, and comes with room to store bar snacks and dip.

But practicality doesn’t take away from looks, as the would-be-waste features beautiful facade details, columns and the famed archways where the King’s Guard stand ready.

Anthea Turner said: “With all the drama that is about to unfold on screen, the nation can tuck into their favourite tipple and picky bits whilst catching up on the new season of The Crown.”
