David Walliams forced to apologise after leaked voicenote reveals ‘derogatory remarks’ about BGT contestant
DAVID Walliams has been forced to apologise after a leaked voicenote revealed him making “derogatory remarks” about a Britain’s Got Talent contestant.
The 51-year-old was heard having a conversation with an unknown person during filming for the ITV show at the London Palladium in 2020.
David was heard describing one contestant as a “c***” and added of another: “She thinks you want to f**k her, but you don’t.”
Transcripts of the conversations were obtained by The Guardian.
Following the leak, David said: “I would like to apologise to the people I made disrespectful comments about during breaks in filming for Britain’s Got Talent in 2020.
“These were private conversations and – like most conversations with friends – were never intended to be shared. Nevertheless, I am sorry.”

A spokesperson for Thames TV, which produces BGT, branded David’s comments as “inappropriate”.
Meanwhile a rep for Simon Cowell and Syco, BGT co-producers, added: “Britain’s Got Talent is a family show and we do not condone the use of any such language.”
Earlier this year David was slammed by BGT viewers for a very risqué pre-watershed joke he made.
After Simon Cowell put a cream scone in David’s face, hosts Ant and Dec commented that there was a little bit of cream dribbling down his chin, prompting naughty David to comment: “Not for the first time!”

The risque comment left the hosts looking slightly panicked about the sexual reference pre-9pm on the family show.
And many viewers at home were not impressed either.
One fumed on twitter: “Walliams is a disgrace to this show. How he can get away with most things he says before nine?”
