I’m a size 18 and tried on every pair of jeans I own to find the ones that really fit and was stunned at the results
JEANS can be very tricky and with the sizing so complicated often it can feel like you are juggling your jeans.
Jesselleking is a plus size fashion influencer; she has over 69,000 followers on Tiktok.
Jesse decided to start a Tiktok series of her trying on all the pairs of jeans she owned to see what actually fit.
In her part one video she said: “Trying on every bit of denim I own until I’m only left with the stuff that actually fits me”.
She said: “I just have so many pairs of jeans and I know probably quite a lot of them don’t fit me anymore where I have gained weight in the past year or so, I just want to try them all on so I’m only left with the ones that actually fit me” .
First Jesse tried a black pair of ripped mum jeans from Primark in size 18.

Jesse said: “I don’t really wear black jeans”.
After trying them on Jesse said: “To be honest I’m not sure they would be my vibe anyway”.
Unfortunately the jeans didn’t fit so they made it to the Vinted pile
Next Jesse tried a two toned pair of jeans from New look.

She said: “Again a pair that I just don’t really think is my vibe the fact that they still have the tags on kind of says that I’ve not worn them for a reason so I should just get rid”.
These also didn’t fit so they will be moving onto the Vinted pile.

Next Jesse tried a pair of Way high jeans from Everlane.
Jesse said “I really like these jeans. Oh my god I am so glad these ones still fit they are such a nice pair of jeans. They’ve got a little raw hem at the end… I just think the fit of them is really good”.
Next Jesse tried a cream wide leg pair of jeans from Primark in size 18.
Jesse said: “I don’t think these are gonna fit like the previous ones”.
Jessie was surprised that she could fit into the jeans but not comfortably.
She said: “I’m very surprised that these do actually do up but I think they are a little bit tight and they do give me a bulge here [in the waist]”.
Those jeans will also be going on the Vinted pile.
Next Jesse tried a pair of New Look Tori lift and shape bum jeans.
Jesse said: “These are my favourite jeans ever. But this is a size 16 and I am 18 these days so it must be quite an old pair so I don’t think there are going to fit”.
To Jesse’s surprise the New Look jeans missed the Vinted pile as they did in fact fit.
Jesse said: “I’m gobsmacked because these actually fit quite nicely. There a bit snug but I think with a little bit of wear they would be fine”.

Jesse concluded: “It just goes to show you that high street sizing is a load of sh*t because these are a 16 and fit me and some of the pair of 18’s haven’t fit me at all. Annoying”.
