How to apply for Catchphrase
CATCHPHRASE has become a fan favourite ever since it graced our screens.
Here’s everything you need to know about being a contestant on the popular ITV game show.
How do I apply for Catchphrase?
Casting bosses at Catchphrase are always on the lookout for people with big personalities who want the chance to win thousands of pounds.
If you are up for some fun, can ‘say what you see’ and would quite like to be on TV with Stephen Mulhern, then chances are they want to hear from you.
Applicants must be eighteen years of age or over and a permanent legal resident in the UK, Isle of Man or Channel Islands.
You can’t be related or employed by the producer, the broadcaster or anyone associated with the show.
Sounds easy enough.
In the past the application form has typically asked why you love Catchphrase, what you do for a living, if you have ever been on TV before and what you would do with the prize money?
First and foremost the show bosses want to see your personality, so make sure that shines through in your answers.
The form encourages you to share interesting facts about yourself, your hobbies, interests, what makes you stand out from the crowd, hidden talents, party tricks – and anything that could shock them.
They want to know if you’ve ever met anyone famous, your most embarrassing moments and any unusual habits, phobias or nicknames – try and make your answers as funny as possible.
The form also goes on to ask if you have any criminal convictions or medical conditions.
You’ll also need to upload a photo of yourself and a 30 second video telling them why you’d be a great contestant.
Good luck!
