Dad transforms boys’ boring bunk bed into something way cooler on a budget – and it gives them more room too
HE was bored seeing his sons’ bog standard bunk bed in the bedroom that they shared.
So one dad decided to take things into his own hands, and created a cool new bedroom set up for his kids – all for under £150.
Mikayla took to TikTok to share a look at the incredible transformation, captioning her video: “When your boys share a room and he gets an idea to build them new beds…
“Here we go…”
The video showed her husband building a frame for the beds out of wood – constructing a full-sized single bed for his older son and a smaller one for his younger child.
After the slats were added, the mattresses were put on top, and some lights and cushions were added to make it more homely.

The dad even managed to give his boys more room too.
The way he constructed the frame meant that there was room underneath the higher bed to put a little chair and a television on the wall.
People were quick to take to the comments section to weigh in on the room transformation, with one writing: “I love this wow.”
“Genius idea!” another added.
