I paid over £90 for the Victoria’s Secret advent calendar on sale… people say I got robbed when I showed what was inside
THE start of December means only one thing – finally opening your advent calendar.
But if you’re considering to fork out a fortune for the Victoria’s Secret one – in the shape of a giant perfume bottle this year – best save your money for something else, as one shopper got robbed.
Looking to treat herself, the rising TikTok star, Courtney Cahoon (@courtneyycahoon), believed to be from the US, popped into the iconic lingerie store.
There, she found the huge advent calendar in bright pink – and of course, immediately bagged it.
Despite the item being on sale with 40 per cent off, the blonde noted she paid more than £90.
Opening the little packages one by one in a video, things were off to a promising start – Courtney got her hands on a full-size Bombshell perfume.
Amongst the winners were also a few lip gloss products, most of which were in pink hues.
But then the excitement started to wear off, as she moved onto the next dates across the calendar.
”A bath bar… for $170 (£140).
”I’m just contemplating all my life decisions right now, that’s all.”
Here, it seems, the items started to get smaller and smaller with each section, as Courtney then found loads of teeny perfume bottles.
”Another perfume… If you see me today, don’t hug me.”

As well as finding three small candles – one that had a similar scent to the perfumes – the mortified shopper ended the festive video with yet another fail.
”A keychain… Is this $170? Somebody, please, tell me.”
Baffled at the pricey purchase, the Victoria’s Secret fan wrote in the caption: ”I got four hours of sleep to get this… and I’m not sure if it’s worth it or not.”
But while Courtney was in two minds, it’s safe to say the viewers were certain of the answer – she had been ”robbed”.
One TikTok user said: ”The way it’s not even worth the discounted price.”
Another chuckled: ”You really took one for the team this time.”
”170 bucks??? Ok… this inflation is out of control,” is how someone else felt about the calendar.
”ONE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY DOLLARS,” a fourth couldn’t get over the price tag.
An employee was just as shocked, confessing: ”I work at a Victoria Secret and they came busted. when we opened the boxes we considered damaging them out because of it.”
