Spice Girls mortified by re-emergence of X-rated demo of song with filthy title
THE Spice Girls have been left mortified after an unreleased song with an X-rated title leaked after nearly 30 years hidden.
Melanie C, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, Geri Horner and Mel B are baffled at the major security breach after the track, C. U. Next Tuesday, was uploaded to the internet this week.
It is particularly embarrassing for the girlband given the title is a slang term for a four-letter expletive.
It was written and recorded 27 years ago for their debut album Spice.
They hated the song so much that they refused to have it included as a bonus track when they re-released their debut album last year.
And Mel C has stated she was furious at the idea of it being featured in a greatest hits collection.
She said: “C.U. Next Tuesday was never used because it’s a pile of s**t. It would be a big rip-off if Virgin put it on a greatest hits album now.”
Fans have known about the song for years after the group discussed it in interviews but it had never been heard until now.
The Sun understands the Spice Girls believe it would be a waste of time to investigate how the song has been accessed and shared after almost three decades.
A music insider said: “The Spice Girls are all at a very different place in their lives now than they were when this song was first written as a tongue-in-cheek track in the Nineties.
“It is obviously a bit embarrassing given the cringeworthy title, as they wouldn’t use the c-word in their own lives.
“It is a bit of a mystery how on earth it has got out but they aren’t going to dwell on it.
“The group have other projects they are looking forward to in 2023 so are focusing on them and hoping this song — which they were never particularly fond of — is forgotten.”
Onwards and upwards, ladies.
Kim’s love life needs raya light
KIM Petras became a household name this year when she topped the charts with Sam Smith collaboration Unholy.
But she says it’s not all been positive for her in 2022, as she quietly split from a secret boyfriend after six years together.
In an exclusive chat, Kim, rolling in a car here to promote her latest single If Jesus Was A Rockstar, explained: “It’s been an absolute rollercoaster.
“At the beginning of the year I had the worst break-up of my life. I was in the longest relationship of my life and that was a rough break-up. It had been six years, and I don’t know if I’ll ever be in a relationship that long again.
“But it was the whole journey, I was with them from the point of having no money and no fanbase, so I feel like I really lost a good friend.”
To make matters worse, Kim, who is a trans woman and using the exclusive dating app Raya, explained things haven’t gone well when looking for a new bloke.
The singer said: “It’s been bad, it’s been horrible. I hate the dating world. It’s brutal. I don’t feel like being a pop star helps in any way. Dating as a trans girl is hard and dating as a pop star is hard.
“I had a date recently where someone just didn’t read my bio. We had the best night and it was really fun.
“Then the next day it was like, ‘Um I’m actually straight and I didn’t see that you’re trans’, and I was like, ‘OK, f*** you, a**hole’.
“Dudes are just the worst. I wish I didn’t like dudes. It’s really irritating.”

I like to think she’s currently keeping it real and posting it from her native Bristol.
Hap-pay New Year for Akon
MOST of us would hate working on New Year’s Eve – not Akon.
The superstar R&B singer says it is one of his most lucrative nights of the year as he’s always booked to perform at private events.
Akon told me of his plans: “New Year’s Eve I am always at someone’s party as the entertainment.
“I get booked every year. I would rather get paid coming into the New Year, for sure.
“I always invite my family to wherever I have been booked and then we come into the New Year together. This year I am in Senegal in West Africa.”
And UK fans won’t have long to wait to see the I Wanna Love You hitmaker.
Akon added: “We are putting together an international tour and dates are coming soon. I am coming to the UK and all of Europe – I can’t wait.”
Jason’s an ‘appy leader’
JASON Derulo is humble as ever in a new interview . . . claiming he is responsible for TikTok becoming so popular.
The Savage Love singer said: “It was a dance app at first. It being a dance app I thought, ‘I don’t know if this could work, not everybody likes to dance’.
“So I was like, ‘Let me start posting other s***’. What worked was when I was posting things that were more fun, things that showed another side of me.”
He told trainer reseller Kick Game that he recalled thinking: “‘OK, this is a moment where I can be a leader and do something different on the app’. And it changed the app for ever.
“It wasn’t until I started to introduce other things that it became the app that it is today. And to this day, TikTok pays me … let’s maybe not say that.”
Sam: My Vision of a diverse UK act
EUROVISION hero Sam Ryder has called for the BBC to send a more “diverse” act next year.
A non-white act has not represented our country for more than a decade but the Space Man singer, who came second in Turin in May, hopes his success has inspired people from different backgrounds to audition.
In an exclusive chat, he explained: “The UK has such a diverse plethora of talent and all I can hope is that what happened this year has encouraged more people from those diverse genres and back-grounds of music to think, ‘Eurovision isn’t a career killer’. I would love it to be a fan of Euro-vision, who loves its history.”
Our last diverse act was when Simon Webbe was in Blue in 2011 and they came 11th with I Can. Before that Jade Ewan placed fifth in 2009 with It’s My Time.
Sam gave us our best result since 1998 and his debut album topped the charts this month. Asked if he had feared the contest could be a “career killer,” he said: “Yeah, of course. But the first thing (in my head) was that I love Eurovision.”
Sam, who will welcome in the New Year with a concert on BBC1 from 11.30pm tomorrow, added that he “can’t presume and can’t confirm” if he will perform at the Eurovision final in Liverpool in May.
Cut Joel wants to get his pants out
HE has a lorryload of hit singles and abs which look like they were carved from marble, just like Calvin Harris.
Now Joel Corry wants to follow in the Scot DJ’s footsteps by landing an underwear campaign. Calvin did it in 2015, provocatively posing in his pants for Emporio Armani.
Head & Heart DJ Joel said: “I would love that. I remember those pictures, they were iconic. If they called me up, I’d be there.
“Calvin is somebody I really want to meet and hopefully I’ll bump into him.
“He’s honestly a massive idol of mine. He’s a God.”
Joel, right, isn’t concentrating on that too much though, as he wants to drop more bangers like his 2022 tunes What Would You Do and History, with Becky Hill.
He explained: “Right now my mind is solely focused on my music.
“I want to keep delivering these bangers. I want to keep improving my shows, touring the world and playing the biggest festivals.
“For me to keep doing that, that’s got to be my focus. I don’t have time to start other ventures right now, but maybe down the line a little bit.”
