I’m a 10/10 but I never realized until I started working at Hooters – it’s such a confidence boost
TWO women said they developed much more confidence after landing a job at Hooters.
Marisa Beltran and her Hooters coworker said they never realized they were “10s” until they became servers at the chain restaurant.
In the TikTok (@gymarisa), the two brunette beauties posed for the camera in their uniforms: tiny orange shorts, a long-sleeve white shirt with the logo across the chest, and white socks with sneakers.
They wore their hair down and had natural makeup on.
“Starts working at Hooters,” they began.
Smiling at the camera, they revealed the perks of the job.
“Good tips,” they said. “Extreme confidence boost.”
The girls clearly love their jobs, as Marisa captioned the clip: “We can thank Hooters for making us realize we are 10s.”
Although there are obviously perks like these, a former Hooters girl named Yasmeen said there are some downsides as well.
Posting to her TikTok (@tripsandtraveltips), Yasmeen revealed that she worked at Hooters for over four years.
“What working as a Hooters girl is actually like,” she began.
The first downside? “Uncomfortable uniform,” she said.
Next, she explained she had to deal with many men who made suggestive comments when she asked for their food order. They would ask: “Are you on the menu?”
Her third complaint pertained to how some of the female guests would treat her. She claimed that women who accompanied their boyfriends to the restaurant were often mean to her – for no reason other than the fact that she was serving them.
And lastly, she said some customers got a little too creative with their tips – and she clearly wasn’t a fan: “Getting left a Snapchat username instead of a tip,” she said while rolling her eyes and mouthing “WTF.”
Still, Yasmeen said she did meet some “incredible people” through the restaurant, and in a comment clarified that she actually enjoyed her time there.
She said: “It wasn’t bad honestly. Overall, I had a good experience.
