Coronation Street teases exit for major villain
ALL hell breaks loose at the Bistro in scenes due on our screens next week.
And the horror could finally mean time out for one Coronation Street thug.
Damon Hay rocked up the cobbles in late 2022, on the pretence of wanting to fix his relationship with his son Jacob.
He soon became involved in business in the Bistro, appearing keen to make it the best it could be.
But as Corrie viewers quickly figured out, the dangerous drug dealer played by Ciarán Griffiths had other motives.
It soon transpired that Damon only made his way to Weatherfield after finding out his brother Harvey Gaskell left his money with Nick Tilsley, meaning he had shares in the restaurant.
In recent scenes, the villain smuggled drugs in and out of the Bistro, keeping his own criminal business going.
However, it’s all about to come to a head for him.
It all begins when Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) confirms to Damon that drugs have been delivered.
But things soon take a turn for the worst when two gunmen arrive at the Bistro, confronting Sam and Ryan Connor.
While the waiter is terrified, the young boy dives under a table and calls his father.
A gunshot is heard, prompting Nick, Leanne but also Damon to race towards the restaurant.
Later on, the police arrive, having been alerted to the gunshot, with a sniffer dog in tow…
Thankfully, Craig Tinker then lets Leanne know two men have been arrested, suspected of being responsible for the Bistro shooting horror.
Damon believes all is well… but Nick has a trick up his sleeve.
The businessman tells Damon to pick up the drugs he was left with as Leanne implores him to get rid of them.
Damon places the holdall in his car boot before climbing into his vehicle.
But he soon comes face to face with the police as their sirens ring out throughout Weatherfield, hinting he could get arrested.
A new love interest could come to Damon’s rescue as soap bosses teased the criminal would be getting involved with a well-established Corrie lady.
