I got dress-coded twice at work – people say it’s like I’m ‘back in high school,’ I even got sent home for my jeans
ANYONE who thinks anything goes in the workwear department better think again.
A female Tweeter has expressed bewilderment after being dress-coded in her workplace.
She did not expect to be upbraided in such an unceremonious fashion.
A keen Tweeter, K Ass (@KassideeFlowers) couldn’t resist tweeting about this work episode when it occurred.
But it wasn’t just the one occasion it happened for this wardrobe disrupter.
It was repeated all over again the very next day but with a very different result.
On day one she wore a cute leopard print off-the-shoulder blouse, her hair tumbling around her shoulders.
It looks innocuous enough, but she soon discovers it is anything but.
She said: “Yesterday I got in trouble for showing my shoulders at work.”
This rule breaker discovered she had infringed the dress code a second time the following day.
The offending item this time was a pair of ripped, patched jeans, worn with a simple white blouse.
Looking bemusedly into the camera, she said: “Today I got handed the dress code for the first time since I started and got sent home for patched jeans.”
She photographed each outfit and leaves followers to make up their own minds.
But one thing is for sure, she looks totally bemused at the decisions of the ‘fashion police.”
One of her followers commented: “So you’re back in high school?”
K.Ass had to agree: “Pretty much except high school allowed patch pants.”
