EastEnders fans call out plot hole with 12-year-old Lily Slater’s pregnancy
FURIOUS EastEnders fans were all left saying the same thing as they noticed a major plot hole in the latest episode of the BBC show.
Viewers saw as 12 year old Lily Slater attended a baby scan as she and her family continued to deal with her shock pregnancy.
Lily attended the hospital scan with father of the child Ricky Jr in tow as they looked up at their baby on the screen’s monitors.
However, fans were left utterly distracted as they questioned why none of the medical professionals were talking to Lily about the complications that could happen in pregnancy.
Eagle-eyed viewers were left confused as they insisted it was incredibly important to do so, particualrly in this case as a result of Lily’s incredibly young age.
Taking to Twitter, one fan said: “Someone should talk to Lily about the potential risks and obstacles she could face during her pregnancy.
“She’s only 12 years old it’s important she is told about the severity of her situation should the worse happen further down the line.”
Another commented: “If they weren’t going to do it before, the scan should’ve been an opportunity for lily to learn of the risks of pregnancy at her age.
“I am so disappointed that they’ve skimmed over it.”
Whilst a third slammed the soap as they wrote: “I’m surprised nothing regarding the dangers and health complications having a baby at 12 can bring has been mentioned even slightly.
“This whole storyline with Lily seems pretty bad now.”
It was revealed at the start of the year that the pre-teen was pregnant with her first child in news that sent shockwaves through Albert Sqaure.
Lily later confirmed that the father of the unborn child was classmate Ricky, Sam and Jack’s son.
