Kenneth Charles Williams was born in on February 22, 1926 in Kings Cross, London, and was an film and TV actor.
He was best known for his comedy roles, and later being a diarist.
Kenneth appeared in 26 of the 31 Carry On films, starring in many alongside the late Barbara Windsor
He was also known for his work with Tony Hancock and Kenneth Horne.
Kenneth was a regular panellist on BBC Radio 4’s comedy show Just a Minute from its second series in 1968, until his death 20 years later.
When did Kenneth Williams die?
Kenneth died on April 15, 1988 in his flat, he was 62-years-old.
An inquest into his death recorded an open verdict, because it was not possible to establish whether he took his own life, or if it was an accident.
Kenneth was cremated at East Finchley Cemetery, and his ashes were scattered in the memorial gardens.
