MOULD and damp is a common sight in many bathrooms. Lots of showers and baths create moisture in the air leaving a breeding ground for mould.

Usually your standard surface cleaner won’t get rid of it. Mould can be very difficult to treat even with the strongest of chemicals.

One cleaning fan has shared three different ways to clean mould with natural ingredients you probably have in your cupboard.

Elnaz Hamai  shared her methods in a video online she said: “Did you know bleach can’t destroy the mould’s root? Let me show you 3 different ways that you can naturally get rid of that mould.”

The cleaning fan’s first method is white vinegar and tea tree essential oil.

She said: “Pour about a cup in a bottle and add about 20 drops of tea tree essential oil.”

Then you are ready to start banishing the mould.

Elnaz said: “Spray the mixture onto the mouldy surface, and let it sit for one hour.”

Next you scrub the mixture into the affected area, if you have one an electric scrubber is great for this and it will save you some elbow grease.

Elnaz said: “Then I’m going with my electrical scrubber and then after that you can just clean it with the water and you are all done.”

The cleaning fan’s next magical mould banishing product is baking soda.

She said: “The second one is a mild natural cleaning product named baking soda.”

All you need to do for this is mix the baking soda with water into a paste.

“You can just mix a little bit of baking soda and water. Use your husband’s toothbrush or any old toothbrush that you have and rub on the mouldy surface.”

Elnaz goes in with her spin scrubber again to pick up all the mould then rinses the area clean with the water.

She said: “Baking soda not just kills the mould, but also absorbs moisture and helps prevent mould from growing.”

Elnaz shared her final hack for cleaning mould which is hydrogen peroxide.

She said: “It has to have a 3% concentration and always keep it  in a dark bottle.”

Elnaz says: “Apply it on the mouldy area. This fizzy antibacterial solution does a great job of penetrating mould.”

Use an electric scrubber again for this method and wash off with water.
