Loose Women star turns down ’84 offers’ to star in huge BBC show
A Loose Women panellist has revealed she rejected appearing on the popular BBC cooking show.
The TV presenter joked that Masterchef had offered for her to take part in the Celebrity version of the show “84 times”.
Denise Welch admitted she had other ideas despite the offers, claiming she wouldn’t appear on the show in a “million years”.
The 64-year-old even turned down big-money to show off her cooking skills on the show.
She told the Daily Star: “I’ve been asked to do Celebrity MasterChef.
“They keep coming back and I keep saying: ‘Not in a million years’. I’ve said no 84 times.”
Denise went on to explain she is “useless” in the kitchen, stating: “I can’t think of anything more terrifying than me doing a cooking show.
“It’s terrifying to do something that’s out of your comfort zone.And the whole kitchen area is out of my comfort zone.”
Despite not been convinced to star on Masterchef, it seems Denise could be tempted by the celebrity version of Great British Bake Off.
She said: “Bake Off is such a lovely show. It’s something the whole family can watch, which is so rare these days.
“My Loose Women co-stars Judi Love and Coleen Nolan have done it and they both absolutely loved it.”
She cheekily added: “And Paul Hollywood has lovely twinkly eyes.”
The star recently stunned in a funky green swimsuit.
Denise posed for a sultry snap whilst soaking up the sun in Dubai.
She wrote alongside the post: “Not bad weather for a February night!”
Wowed by her photo, presenter Jenny Powell commented: “Girl you are on fire!! Don’t lend that swimsuit to Lincoln.”
Her Loose Women co-star Katie Piper added: “Teach me to pose when you get back.”
Athlete Dame Kelly Holmes remarked: “Jealous.”
