I had my teeth done in the UK but they butchered them… 18 dentists turned me down so I jetted off to Turkey to fix them
A FIRST Dates star has shared the horror story of having to jet off to Turkey to fix his gnashers after a clinic in the UK butchered his smile.
Danny Bennett (@danny2bennett), 38, took to TikTok to reveal how a series of unfortunate dental events left him having to walk with his mouth covered.
The bloke, originally from Birmingham, said he refused to show his pearly whites because he lacked confidence.
About two years ago, Danny had his done in the UK – but sadly, this is where things took a sharp turn.
According to the man, who appeared on First Dates back in 2016, his smile was ”f***ed up” and he spent a total of 14 months desperately trying to fix it.
Not knowing what else to do, Danny decided to jet off to Turkey after booking a last-minute flight.
But despite seeing the specialists from abroad twice, the 38-year-old’s smile remained the same.
Looking back, Danny insisted he didn’t blame them: ”It wasn’t really their fault. It was the UK’s fault.”
He went on in the video: ”I came home, got rejected by about 18 dentists because the case was too big – they couldn’t take the case on.”
Essentially left by himself, Danny grabbed his phone and posted a video talking about the emotional journey on TikTok.
The clip, he said, went viral and was seen by about 5million people – and amongst them was a dental whizz who then reached out to Danny.
After a consultation, the doctor has agreed to treat the beauty fan and make him ”beautiful” once again.

”Hopefully, within the next couple of weeks we’ll have the top teeth finished, so I will be able to give you a big old f***ing smile, and then we’re gonna move onto the bottom teeth.”
Danny, who has amassed close to a whopping 500,000 followers on TikTok, became an internet sensation when appearing on First Dates six years ago.
The part-time model was turned down by his blind date when he appeared on the popular Channel 4 show.
But he became incredibly popular with viewers thanks to his honest nature after explaining he was a recovering drug addict.
“I tell people generally as a rule because I want someone to know who I am,” Danny said in 2016.
“I don’t want to get into a situation where we’re at a bar and they suggest we do a shot.
“I could get around that once by saying I was driving, but it might come up again, and it gets harder and harder to explain or dodge things if you’re not being honest.
“So I just throw it out there. It’s just lie upon lie otherwise.”
