I’ve been at rock bottom & nearly died but Stephen Bear won’t destroy me, says Georgia Harrison as she breaks silence

EX-LOVE Island contestant Georgia Harrison says the stress of her sex video ordeal at the hands of twisted former pal Stephen Bear nearly killed her — but she has vowed she will not be broken.

The 28-year-old has spoken for the first time since former reality TV star Bear, 33, was jailed for selling CCTV footage of them having sex in his garden.

He was sentenced to 21 months last week and refused to apologise to her for the distress he caused — or explain why he did it.

Georgia says she nearly died fighting him for two-and-a-half years — and will now sue Bear for destroying her career.

She defiantly told The Sun: “As much as this situation really did crush me two years ago, I can stand here strong now. There’s only good times to come from here.”

Georgia has revealed the sickening moment she first saw secretly-recorded footage of her having sex being sold online.

She logged on to the former Celebrity Big Brother winner’s page on OnlyFans — an X-rated subscription service — only to find “a screenshot of him on top of me in his garden”.

She said: “He put the caption as something along the lines of: ‘Sign up now for 50 per cent off to see me f*ing this bch in my garden.’ It made me feel so violated.

“All I’ve ever done was be good to him as a friend and as more.”

Georgia — who has been filming a documentary for ITV2 about her ordeal — says the stress caused her hair to fall out and at one point she was rushed to hospital. She said: “I almost died.”

The star explained: “When it first happened, the physical effects on me were just horrific.

“I had acne come up all over my face. I ended up getting a cyst infection — the cyst eventually burst — and I was in hospital from stress.

“They said my kidneys, my pelvis, and multiple organs were infected, and I was going into septic shock.”

An emotional Georgia went on: “Bear has never apologised to me once. It’s one thing to deny it, but to show absolutely no remorse, it makes no sense. It’s like my feelings don’t matter.”

But she is happy with the sentence he received, with Bear convicted of voyeurism and two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs and films.

He was also placed on the sex offender register for ten years and slapped with a restraining order.

The Sun revealed last week he was now a “broken man” behind bars and was on suicide watch at HMP Chelmsford, in Essex.

Georgia says: “I think going to jail was the only punishment that would make someone like Stephen Bear change their ways.

“He completely lost touch with reality. He thought he could do what he wanted, when he wanted. He thought the public would still love him and be behind him.

“He gradually got worse and worse, and the only thing that was ever going to stop the momentum was a custodial sentence.”

Of the sex footage, she added: “I did say to him if anyone ever saw it, it would ruin my life. It would change my life unequivocally.

“And it did.” Georgia and Bear were just friends until they appeared together on MTV reality show The Challenge in 2018.

They became romantically involved, but on the day the video was made, in August 2020, they were nothing more than friends.

They had consensual sex, but Bear then admitted there were cameras in the garden.

Georgia explains: “On the day it was taken, Bear told me there had been cameras I wasn’t aware of. He acted like it was an accident.”

Later, she heard whispers Bear had shown lads the video. Georgia said: “Then someone sent me a recording of it from America. Then I knew it had been spread not just in the UK, but globally.”

Georgia added: “For months, my state of mind was really not good. From the moment I heard he was showing people I felt completely out of control. I felt used and violated.”

Next week, Georgia will talk about her ordeal in ITV2 documentary Revenge Porn: Georgia vs Bear, which she has been filming for more than two years.

She said: “There will be conversations and voice notes revealed between me and Bear where he denied it was me and denied he had released it. It shows just how heartless he was.”

Georgia is now trying to sue him for her loss of earnings.

She said: “People don’t realise how much this damaged my career.

“I’ve gone through two years of being dropped by every brand who ever worked with me. My career was thriving prior to it.”

Millions once saw Bear as the cheeky lad from Celebrity Big Brother in 2016.

But Georgia said: “I don’t recognise him. I used to think there was a good side. Now I just think a lot of him is bad and he sometimes just acts good.”

  • Revenge Porn: Georgia vs Bear is on ITV2 and ITVX at 10pm on Monday.
