Two Geordie Shore legends AXED as show films final series after cast bloodbath

Scotty T and Marty McKenna will not be in the next series of Geordie Shore, which is set to be the show’s last.

It’s filming at the moment and while both of them appeared on last year’s Reunion series, The Sun recently reported that the cast was being culled for this final run and we can now reveal Scotty and Marty have not been asked back by bosses.

A TV insider said: “Marty wasn’t asked back as he didn’t behave well while filming Celebs Go Dating last year, which is made by the same production company that makes Geordie Shore.

“Bosses weren’t impressed by his antics, so decided not to invite him back after the reunion.

“As for Scotty, fans had hoped he might become a permanent fixture on the show again after returning for the reunion, but producers feel like he is still very much a wild child and a party boy.

“That doesn’t really fit with the show’s new direction, which will have more of a grown-up, family vibe as a lot of the cast have kids now.

“They will be going on a big group holiday in the new series and a lot of them will likely have their children in tow, so it’s not going to be like the crazy days of old – this is a new chapter.”

The news will be a major blow to Scotty, who is currently in the middle of a TV comeback attempt after filming the upcoming series of Celebrity Cooking School.

However, due to his poor timekeeping, it’s been reported his co-stars wanted him kicked off set for his “lack of professionalism”.

Scotty, 34, signed up for the E4 series alongside a raft of stars including Ann WiddecombeJames ArgentOlivia Bentley and Louie Spence.

An insider said: “Scotty became unpopular among some of the Celeb Cooking School cast because he turned up late to filming and pushed everything back.

“They thought he was selfish and that he showed no consideration for any of the cast or crew.”

However, a spokesperson for Scotty said of the reports: “There is no truth to this story. Scott had a wonderful time on the show and got on well with everyone while filming.

“There was never reports for Scott to be called of (sic) the show and is still in touch with everyone from the show including production.”

The Sun has contacted MTV for further comment.
